- Abstract
-
Religion and mysticism are among the categories that humans have faced since long ago in the way of personal and social life. Different opinions about the definitions and ratio of these two have been presented by Scientists. In the meantime, Allameh Mohammad Taqi Jafari is one of the great thinkers whose opinions are a great guide for those who are trying to cogmition for the truth. He believes that religion is a set of beliefs, duties and morals without which life has no basis except for disturbing selfishness. In fact, religion is a great calculation in life and knowing it and moving based on dependence on absolute perfection and being attracted to it and acting according to this knowledge. The purpose of religion is to bring human personality to fruition in all aspects of his existence. The unique privileges that exist in religion, a person can enjoy a life with expansion and prosperity and reach true happiness with a reasonable and purposeful life.
In his definition of religion, a reasonable answer to the four types of human relationships (man's relationship with God, man's relationship with himself, man's relationship with his fellow man, and man's relationship with existence) has been taken into account, and the purpose and philosophy of human life has been convincingly explained.
On the other hand, he believe that if a person wants to have the above four relationships correctly, he should step towards positive mysticism. That mysticism which is God-seeking, dynamic, purposeful, comprehensive and complete, which regulates all the rationalities of human life in reasonable life and has an origin, path and destination. Its origin is awareness of the soul and its ability to seek perfection in the path of ascension, and this awareness and awakening makes man take the world in which he lives seriously and walk on the path of good life, which is reasonable life.
The path of mystical movement is the same conscious search, which leads a person from "the one who is" by changing himself to "the one who should be" and its destination is the highest goal of life.
Finally, with these definitions of religion and mysticism, there is not the least difference between religion and mysticism, and Shari'ah, Tariqat and truth are forms of one truth that the great prophets, elders, sages and true mystics are all preachers and commentators. On the other hand, it can be concluded that both religion and mysticism are responsible for the interpretation of the four human relationships and express the ways of human merit in the mentioned relationships.
